O2 Plans

When picking an O2 plan you have more options than just the allotment of data – you can also pick between a Classic, Plus, or Ultimate plan.

These options are available both on SIM Only or when choosing a phone or other device on Pay Monthly, and they each come with their own perks and limitations.

Below then, we’ve detailed exactly what you’ll get with each of these O2 plan types.

O2’s Classic plans are basically the network’s standard plans. These are the most affordable option, and they come with the fewest extras.

You do get some things though, including unlimited minutes and texts (so as far as allowances go it’s only the amount of data that you need to choose).

You also get access to the O2 Priority app, packed with an ever-changing assortment of perks and rewards, and you even get to choose an extra that you’ll have access to for three months.

At the time of writing, the selection of extras you can choose from includes Amazon Prime, Amazon Music, Audible, Cafeyn, McAfee, and Disney Plus.

Plus, you can roam for free in 48 European destinations (up to a 25GB fair usage limit)

O2 Plus plans

O2 Priority: Yes
Inclusive roaming: Yes, in 75 places

O2’s Plus plans are the middle tier of plans, and these give you everything that you get with a Classic plan, including EU roaming, unlimited minutes and texts, and access to O2 Priority, but they also give you more.

For one thing, you also get data rollover, meaning if you don’t use all your data one month you have a second month to use it.

And O2 Plus plans extend on some of the benefits you get with Classic plans, because rather than letting you roam in just 48 European destinations, you can roam in 75 destinations worldwide at no extra cost, including the likes of the US and Australia.

Additionally, as with Classic plans you can choose a free subscription, but rather than three months it will last for six months here, with the same selection of services being on offer, meaning that at the time of writing you can choose from Amazon Prime, Amazon Music, Audible, Cafeyn, McAfee, and Disney Plus.

Plus, if you’re buying a phone, then you also get O2 Switch Up, which allows you to swap your phone every 90 days without having to pay off your contract, and you get a three-year warranty.

O2 Ultimate plans

O2 Ultimate plans
Unlimited minutes and texts: Yes
O2 Priority: Yes
Inclusive roaming: Yes, in 123 places

Other extras: Data rollover, O2 Switch Up, 3-year warranty, unlimited MMS, McAfee Security, O2 Insure

Finally, there are O2 Ultimate plans, and as the name suggests these are O2’s top – or ultimate – plans.

With these, you get everything included in an O2 Plus plan and more. So there’s unlimited minutes and texts, access to O2 Priority, data rollover, and – if buying a device – access to O2 Switch Up and a three-year device warranty.

But you also get unlimited MMS (multimedia messages), and access to the McAfee Security app, to help keep you safe online. If you’re buying a plan with a device then you additionally get O2 Insure, allowing you to make unlimited claims and get same or next-day phone replacement.

And you can roam even further on these plans, with 123 global destinations included, up from 75 on Plus plans.

And as with the other plan types you can choose a free extra, with the selection currently including Amazon Prime, Cafeyn, or Disney Plus Premium, and you can keep this for the duration of your plan.
