One of the tricky things with SIM Only plans (and other contracts with mobile networks) is that the advertised price won’t necessarily be the one you always pay, as a large number of networks have mid-contract price rises.
These are price rises that networks are allowed to carry out once per year, even if your contract is more than twelve months long – leaving you no choice but to start paying more until your contract ends.
So they’re not ideal, but fortunately not all networks have mid-contract price rises. So below, we’ve detailed the networks offering SIM Only plans with no mid-contract price rises.
Note though that while the information below was accurate to the best of our knowledge at the time of writing, terms and conditions can change, so it’s always worth checking about price rises with a network directly.
Asda Mobile sells 30-day, 12-month, and 24-month plans, and it’s currently promising no mid-contract price rises.
Asda uses Vodafone’s coverage, and highlights of the network include free roaming, up to unlimited data, data rollover (at least on its 12 and 24-month plans), and a percentage of your monthly plan cost in your Asda Rewards Cashpot.
Giffgaff offers both 30-day and 18-month SIM Only plans, and while the former come with no promises that prices won’t be raised, the latter do come with this promise. So if you take out an 18-month plan on Giffgaff then your monthly price will stay the same throughout those 18 months.
Of course, if you take out a 30-day plan then you can always leave the network or change plans if there’s ever a price rise anyway.
Giffgaff has the same coverage as O2, and other highlights of the network include the option of unlimited data, and inclusive EU roaming.
Honest Mobile is an unusual network in that rather than simply promising not to raise its prices, it actually promises to lower them over time if you stay with the network.
Your price will reduce by up to 30% per month over time, and this discount is available whether you choose a 30-day or 12-month plan.
Honest Mobile – which uses Three’s infrastructure – is also carbon negative, so it’s good for the environment, and you can get up to unlimited data, and roam in the EU for up to 5 days per trip at no extra cost.
iD Mobile promises no annual price rises on its SIM Only plans – which you can get in 30-day, 12-month, and 24-month durations. Note though that if you buy a handset on contract with the network, your price there will rise.
In any case, you can get up to unlimited data on iD Mobile’s SIM Only plans, as well as EU roaming, and on plans without unlimited data there’s data rollover. iD Mobile runs on Three’s network, so it has identical coverage.
Lebara offers both 30-day and 12-month plans, and it promises no annual price rises.
Lebara shares Vodafone’s coverage, and other highlights of the network include free international calls, and free roaming in the EU and India. Plus, you can get up to unlimited data for use in the UK.
Lyca Mobile offers 1-month, 12-month, and 24-month SIM Only plans, and it has said that there will be no mid-contract price rises. So you can be safe in the knowledge that your price won’t change at the time of writing.
Lyca Mobile uses EE’s coverage, and you can get plans with up to unlimited data. But the real highlights here are the inclusion of international minutes, along with free EU roaming. Some plans also include roaming in India and China.
Smarty offers just 30-day rolling SIM Only plans, which means you’re not locked into a contract anyway, and if their prices ever did go up, you could always choose to leave. But the network has stated that there won’t be any annual price rises anyway.
So even though there’s no contract, you can be confident that your SIM Only price won’t rise for a long time.
Inflation presumably means that eventually Smarty – like all networks – will have to up its prices – but not within the first year of you having a plan anyway.
Beyond the lack of mid-contract price rises, Smarty is an affordable network running on Three’s infrastructure, with plans offering up to unlimited data. EU roaming is also included.
Spusu has promised a price freeze throughout 2026, so both new and existing customers won't see prices changing this year.
After 2026, it remains to be seen whether the network's prices will remain frozen, but it's worth noting that this is the third year in a row that they've been frozen, so this isn't a network that often raises prices.
And it sells rolling 30-day plans anyway, so this is another network where even if there were price increases, you wouldn’t have to accept them, as you could always choose to leave.
Spusu runs on EE’s infrastructure and its plans include both EU roaming and calls to the EU.
Talk Home offers both 30-day and 12-month plans, and for the latter it promises no annual price rises until 2026, which is now a dated claim, but as it doesn’t appear to have specifically announced price rises either, it’s likely there won’t be any at the time of writing.
This affordable network uses EE’s infrastructure, so coverage is good, and you can roam in the EU at no extra cost, though there’s no unlimited data option.
Talkmobile claims it won’t raise prices during 2025, but with it being 2026 it’s unclear whether a price freeze is still in place – though the network doesn’t appear to have specifically said prices will rise either, which suggests they won’t.
It offers both 30-day and 12-month plans, and it uses Vodafone’s network. You can also get up to unlimited data, and you can roam at no extra cost in the EU.
Tesco Mobile promises to freeze prices on select 12 and 24-month plans, but only for Clubcard holders. If you have a Tesco Clubcard, then at the time of writing you can get a price freeze on its 30GB 12-month SIM Only plan and its 12GB and unlimited data 24-month SIM Only plans, but everyone else will be subject to mid-contract price rises.
Tesco Mobile uses O2’s infrastructure, and also promises no EU roaming fees.
The above networks have all made promises regarding no mid-contract price rises, but it’s worth noting that 1pMobile, VOXI, and ParentShield all offer 30-day rolling SIM Only plans, so while prices could rise at any time, you’re also free to leave at any time if they do.
You can also get 30-day SIM Only plans on EE, Three, Vodafone, and O2 that you can easily leave, but note that other plan lengths are also available and could leave you locked in when the price rises.
