Networks Using Vodafone Title

Vodafone has its own infrastructure and spectrum, giving it different coverage to EE, Three (at least until the two networks have fully merged) and O2, but you don’t have to be on Vodafone itself to get this coverage.

Instead, you could choose to sign up with an MVNO (mobile virtual network operator) that shares Vodafone’s coverage. Some of these are owned by Vodafone itself, while others simply pay to have access to Vodafone’s spectrum and infrastructure.

But in all cases they potentially have lower prices than Vodafone, and some also have extra features that you won’t get on Vodafone itself, so they’re worth considering, and you’ll find all of these Vodafone MVNOs detailed below.

That said, Vodafone itself is a premium network with a greater assortment of perks and plan types than any of these MVNOs, so for some users the big-name original will remain the best choice.

Asda Mobile

Asda Mobile isn’t one of the most exciting Vodafone MVNOs but it is one of the cheapest – so if you just want a basic SIM Only plan with Vodafone’s coverage, then Asda Mobile could be a good choice.

That said, its plans – which come in 30-day, 12-month, and 24-month varieties – do at least include roaming in Europe, and they all come with unlimited minutes and texts.

Many Asda Mobile plans will also give you a percentage of the monthly cost back in your Asda Rewards Cashpot, which you can then convert into vouchers to spend in Asda, so it’s a good choice for frequent Asda shoppers too.

Asda Mobile also offers Wi-Fi Calling, 4G Calling, and plans with up to unlimited data.

Lebara

Lebara is aimed primarily at people who make a lot of international calls, as this Vodafone MVNO gives you between 100 and unlimited international minutes with its plans.

These minutes can be used to call over 50 countries, covering most of Europe and many others parts of the world, and its plans also let you roam in both the EU and India – the latter of those being an unusual addition.

Plus, you can get up to unlimited UK data, there’s the option to Pay As You Go (as well as both 30-day and 12-month SIM Only plans), and you’ll get both Wi-Fi Calling and 4G Calling. If you’re purchasing a plan for an iPhone Air, you’ll get an eSIM, but all other phones are currently limited to physical SIM cards.

Talkmobile

Talkmobile is actually run by Vodafone, so it’s no surprise that this shares Vodafone’s coverage. But it prices are typically lower than Vodafone’s, with this being designed as an affordable, basic alternative to Vodafone itself.

On Talkmobile, you can get a 30-day or 12-month SIM Only plan, and while there aren’t too many extras, you can roam in Europe at no extra cost, and the network also supports Wi-Fi Calling, 4G Calling, and eSIMs.

VOXI

VOXI is another network that’s owned and operated by Vodafone itself, but unlike Talkmobile this one has some unique perks.

Specifically, its 30-day SIM Only plans let you use an unlimited amount of data on Snapchat, Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook, X, Pinterest, and Facebook Messenger.

Some plans also let you use an unlimited amount of data for music apps, specifically Spotify, Apple music, Amazon music, Rayo, Tidal, Deezer, Napster, and Primordial, and some additionally do the same for video streaming apps, specifically YouTube, Netflix, Prime Video, My5, and TikTok. Of course, subscriptions to these services aren’t included.

VOXI also sells a plan with unlimited data, which lacks these perks because it doesn’t need them, and the network allows for 4G Calling, Wi-Fi Calling, Visual Voicemail, and eSIMs. It even has a perk called ‘VOXI Drop’, which provides monthly rewards from other brands.

However, roaming costs extra on VOXI, so that’s one downside to this network.
