VOXI doesn’t offer all that many SIM Only plans, but they all last just 30 days, so you don’t have to commit to a contract, and they’re all competitively priced.
They also come with extras that you won’t find anywhere else. Specifically, all but the unlimited data plan include ‘Unlimited Social’, which lets you use Snapchat, Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Facebook Messenger without it eating into your data allowance.
Many of VOXI’s SIM Only deals also come with ‘Unlimited Music’, which is the same concept for Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Tidal, Deezer, Napster, and Primordial, and some come with ‘Unlimited Video’, which lets you use YouTube, Netflix, Prime Video, My5, and TikTok without affecting your data allowance.
You can even get plans with all three of these ‘Unlimited’ perks – though note that a subscription to the services isn’t provided. So for example you’d still need a Netflix account, you just wouldn’t use up any of your data allowance with it on one of these plans.
VOXI’s SIM Only plans also come with 5G as standard, and they support tethering, Wi-Fi Calling, and 4G Calling.
VOXI is run by Vodafone, so it’s essentially a big network, just operating behind the less well known VOXI name.
That means it has the full might of the Vodafone network behind it, complete with the same infrastructure and coverage – so you can get 5G in hundreds of towns and cities across the UK, while 4G is available to around 99% of the UK population.
VOXI’s speeds should also be the same as Vodafone’s, meaning a median 5G download speed of 131.5Mbps according to a RootMetrics report of Vodafone from 2023, and an average 5G download speed of 114.3Mbps according to an Opensignal report from September 2023, which also found that Vodafone (and by extension likely VOXI) had an average download speed was 27.9Mbps when using a combination of 5G, 4G, and 3G.
Customers seem reasonably happy with VOXI too, rating it an average of 3.6/5 on Trustpilot. That’s considered ‘average’, but is higher than the scores achieved by many networks. VOXI was also rated as a Which? Recommended Provider in both 2023 and 2022.
VOXI charges £2.25 per day to roam in Europe, though you can reduce this cost to £2 per day if you buy a 2-day roaming pass, to £1.25 per day if you buy a 10-day pass, and to £1 per day if you buy a 15-day pass.
You can then use your allowances in Europe up to a 20GB fair use limit for data.
VOXI won’t credit check you when signing up for one of its SIM Only deals, so that’s one additional perk of the network. For other no credit check options, take a look at our guide covering who offers SIM Only deals with no credit check.
Yes, to keep your number when switching to VOXI, you should first text ‘PAC’ to 65075 from the number you want to keep. You’ll be sent a PAC (Porting Authorisation Code) in return, which you can give to VOXI when placing your order. With that done, VOXI will then handle the number transfer.
Alternatively, you can give VOXI your PAC code after you’ve received your VOXI SIM card, by heading to the ‘Transfer number’ section of your online VOXI account.
Yes, VOXI offers a SIM Only plan with unlimited data, and there are no real fair usage limits for this in the UK – though there’s a 20GB monthly limit when roaming.
